Our timber is pressure treated for a long life - you can expect 20 or more years for most of our products given normal wear and tear and a regular maintenance programme. Do however expect some weathering due to the natural properties of the wood.

All our products are pressure treated but application of a quality water repellent will help minimise the cycles of moisture takeup and loss the wood goes through outdoors. For maximum protection, this type of product should be applied as soon as the deck or fence construction is completed. Ensure you clean your project with an appropriate cleaner and leave until surface dry, before applying. It is particularly important to protect all sawcuts and drill holes. A regular maintenance programme should include inspection of all fasteners to determine if nails, screws or bolts are working loose etc. Occasionally, it is prudent to re-apply your water repellent.

We generally have most of the listed materials in stock, although in busy periods it is best to check first. We can also have your order put to one side for you for easier loading. For gates and large quantities, we alway advise ordering.
